Fees

As a general practitioner and psychotherapist, I am dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care. My fees align with the Australian Medical Association’s (AMA) recommended rates, ensuring that my services meet the standards set by my professional community. This structure reflects not only the time we spend together in session but also the extensive preparation and follow-up that I dedicate to each patient. This includes reviewing patient histories, formulating personalized care plans, and where necessary, collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure that you receive holistic and well-informed care.

I believe in a thorough, attentive approach that goes beyond the session itself. My goal is to support you with insights and strategies specifically tailored to your needs, fostering long-term growth and well-being. I understand that these fees may represent a significant investment; however, they allow me to devote the time and resources necessary to deliver a high standard of care, in line with AMA guidance.

Every case involves a thorough assessment, allowing us to develop a precise and effective treatment plan. I take into account the complexity of your condition, the time and expertise required for your care, and any additional diagnostic evaluations or specialised treatments necessary. This approach ensures that you receive the most appropriate and effective care, without compromise.

I believe in full transparency and will discuss all associated costs with you before proceeding. I am dedicated to guiding you through your options and helping you understand the value and benefits of each service. While high-quality, personalised care can come at a premium, I strive to ensure that every service I provide reflects the level of attention, expertise, and support that you deserve.

This approach ensures that your care is thoughtful, thorough, and tailored to your specific needs. As a fully private billing practice, I do not offer bulk billing, but you will be provided with an invoice that you can use to claim back a rebate from Medicare, where applicable.

Reducing Out-of-Pocket Costs

For many patients, out-of-pocket costs significantly decrease after the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) threshold is reached. Once this threshold is breached, Medicare provides higher rebates for eligible services, easing the financial burden of ongoing care. This means that your investment in your mental health becomes more affordable over time.
